ABOUT THE EVENT

CINPAR was born from IEMAC, from the State University Vale do Acaraú, being carried out for the first time on the initiative of Professor Dr. Francisco Carvalho in 2003, in Sobral with great success.

For the specialist in pathology and rehabilitation of structures, it is essential to know the technologies of the materials used: aggregates of stone, adobe, wood, steel, concrete or others; the geometric characteristics of the structures; the possible tests of physical and mechanical characterization of materials, behavior of structural elements and solutions for rehabilitation and reinforcement for each construction.

In recent years, the evolution of knowledge in the field of pathology and construction rehabilitation has had a significant boost, due both to the growing awareness of the various sectors involved in the construction sector and to the emergence of new construction materials and techniques. Recent statistics show that the investment in the rehabilitation sector has increased considerably in recent years.

The XVII CINPAR presents an important opportunity to acquire new knowledge, techniques and technologies and exchange experiences in rehabilitation and reinforcement of structures. It is considered one of the most important congresses in South America and in the Iberian Peninsula, in the area of Pathology and Structural Rehabilitation.

Although historically, CINPAR started in 2003 in Sobral, the following editions have since been successfully held in Fortaleza, João Pessoa, Curitiba, Porto Alegre, Brazil, Córdoba, La Plata and Salta, in Argentina, Aveiro and Porto in Portugal, Santiago, Chile, Florence, Italy, and now returns to Brazil, to Fortaleza, in 2021.
